About the Team

FRC Team 3257 is a competitive high school robotics team under the auspices of Placer County 4-H. The team currently has students from Placer, Lincoln, Woodcreek, Rocklin, Whitney, Granite Bay and Del Oro high schools, but welcomes students that attend ANY high school in Placer County including home schooled students.

FRC is the F1 of Robotics

FRC has over 5,000 teams in the world. FIRST is a amazing organization that gives students the ability to learn mechanical skills, engineering, programming, and electrical. Most importantly it creates leaders. Students that can lead others and teach the skills they have been taught.

Since we are a community team, operating through Placer County 4-H, any high school student in Placer County can join!

About 4-H

For over 100 years, 4-H has empowered California youth with the skills to lead for a lifetime. 4-H is the largest youth development program in the United States. Using research-based youth development practices, 4-H engages youth and adult volunteers in youth-adult partnerships, resulting in increased learning and leadership development. Young people participate in 4-H through community clubs like Vortechs Robotics, with a hands-on, learn-by-doing process. We are committed to developing, delivering and evaluating program models that are culturally responsive to serve all Californians. The 4-H program is open to young people and adult volunteers from all backgrounds and beliefs.
